Hackers from China have "persistently" infiltrated the New York Times for the last four months, the US paper says.
It said the attacks coincided with its report into claims
that the family of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao had amassed a
multi-billion dollar fortune.The hackers used methods which have been "associated with the Chinese military" to target the emails of the report's writer, the paper said.
China's foreign ministry dismissed the accusations as "groundless".
"To arbitrarily assert and to conclude without hard evidence that China participated in such hacking attacks is totally irresponsible," said spokesman Hong Lei.
"China is also a victim of hacking attacks. Chinese laws clearly forbid hacking attacks, and we hope relevant parties takes a responsible attitude on this issue."
Beijing has been accused by several governments, foreign companies and organisations of carrying out extensive cyber espionage for many years, seeking to gather information and to control China's image.
'China-based subterfuge' According to the Times, the hackers first broke into their computer system in September, as the report on Mr Wen was nearing completion.
The report, which was dismissed as a "smear" by the Chinese government, said Mr Wen's relatives had amassed assets worth at least $2.7bn (£1.7bn) through business dealings. It did not accuse the Chinese premier of wrongdoing.
China is sensitive about reports on its leaders, particularly when it comes to their wealth.

If I had the chance I'd get into the host's Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, as this could see the largest in Spain. Also look if the president is doing his job, if it is true that the salary is actually said to have, within the party if there is evidence that some members are related to corruption. Taking the computer orders and President would change many things in government. Would lower the wages of many ministers, deputies and members of the Senate because I seem indecent, unnecessary and completely irrational salaries because there are a lot of people leaving really bad situations because of the economic crisis is happening in Spain. If I were a hacker I would get, from some millionaire, the password of your bank account. So, I could get money. A portion of that money I would stay for me, and the other party i would invest in a good cause and i give that money to people who really need it.

However, there are some cases in what it is necessary and justified; for example when police investigates people who has childhood or illegal pornography, or hacks someone’s information in order to extort them.
Informatics enterprises create virus that are send to our mails out of getting your computer control so they own whole your information and contacts. They can blackmail you: to ask for money, get your personal photos, videos, mails…, try to force dates, etc.
In my opinion these acts must be considerate hateful. They mean losing our totally intimacy and freedom. I think Internet is a good method to express our ideas, emotions, believes...and it shouldn’t be used as an arm in order to dominate other people.
I don’t like the idea to snoop somebody, but I would love sharing music, thoughts, opinions, videos… and all kinds of archives that you freely want to show to the world.
In conclusion, it would be desirable everybody kept a good behaviour regards other ones’ privacy. But it is natural in human being to interest in knowing someone else’s life.

One of these famous people whose personal computer I´d like to break into would be Angela Markel, the Primer Minister of Germany and one of the most powerful women in the world and whose goverment is having a great influence an all the European states. I´d like to get to know about her because she seems to be a very cold and colenlating woman who looks at the world from her privileged social place.
If we could break into her computer, maybe, we could find that she isn´t like this in her private life and maybe, we have a wrong image of her. On the one hand, enter the computer of a person by force, has his advantages. It serves for gossip fits all files you have, whether private or public.
On the other hand, enter the computer of a person by force, also has his disadvantages. Among other things, it is a crime because it is being done, is not the person doing it, but that is another subject. Files stored on the computer can be a danger, because if the hacker is a dangerous person, can bring bad consequences such as theft, rape and abuse, for example.
In my opinion, I wouldn`t snoop the computer of anyone because I do not want people to think things that are not and also because I do not want the risk that I might put in jail.

I want to know all about the space too, all the stars, every planet that the NASA has discovered, how many asteroids or comets can destroy the earth? And things like that. First of all I think that I would never go into amother persons computer. I would not do this because it is personal and private information. Also if you are caught you can be put to prison. It is a very serious offence and many hackers have been caught and punished. However, I would be interested in knowing about military and NASA information about records of UFO findings. I am interested in knowing about life in the universe out of our planet to know if we are alone. I think in these computers I could find evidence about this. I read the history of Gary McKinnon who was accused in 2002 of the most important hacking in military systems ever. It seems that this was also one of the reasons pushing him for going into these computers. This created him a lot of problems. He was accused of hacking 97 United States military and NASA computers and extradition was requested by the United States. Fortunately his extradition was blocked. So before doing something like this we have to be aware of the risks.

If I was a hacker I would like to be inside the Anonymous Group. This group devotes itself to steal information and to sell it. They execute their crimes by entering the servers of big multinational companies in order to steal information and money from them. There is absolutely no problem in my home in looking at anyone’s computer, you can look at anything such as photos, documents music etc with no problem at all. As noone has a private password.

If I were a hacker, I would love to hack a bank and see the counts that they are moving, and actually if I was able to get some money from it I would, so I can buy some stuff that I want to. But one of the things that I would love to do is get on people's personal computers and see their conversations with other people and their personal videos and pictures. I know that everything is wrong about getting on people's personal lives but I am that kind of person that likes to know everything about other people and I think that everyone would like to know some of the personal things that others have and no one know about them. I could do so many things if I was a hacker, that it would not be any good.

First of all I think that I would never go into amother persons computer. I would not do this because it is personal and private information. Also if you are caught you can be put to prison. It is a very serious offence and many hackers have been caught and punished. However, I would be interested in knowing about military and NASA information about records of UFO findings. I am interested in knowing about life in the universe out of our planet to know if we are alone. I think in these computers I could find evidence about this. I read the history of Gary McKinnon who was accused in 2002 of the most important hacking in military systems ever. It seems that this was also one of the reasons pushing him for going into these computers. This created him a lot of problems. He was accused of hacking 97 United States military and NASA computers and extradition was requested by the United States. Fortunately his extradition was blocked. So before doing something like this we have to be aware of the risks.
