Holy week holidays!!!!!

We were all looking forward to these holidays for many reasons, first of all we all need a break from school, and then because I´m sure we are going to do something interesting: I´m going to prepare some things for school, enjoy my family, go downtown and watch some "pasos", and pray the exchange goes well. Can you tell me what do you usually do in this holidays? Write 200 words

  1. The Holy Week not a thing that I love but do not hate. This week I usually stay here in Seville because my parents work and can’t leave travel. Sunday I usually go to see some ``pasos´´ with my friends. The other day of the week if it rains I do not go to the center but if it does not rain to see some ``pasos´´. Also usually exams after holidays and I have to study for exams, today for example. On Thursdays I eat with my family a bar and see ``pasos´´ , and then I go out with my friends. 2 years ago I saw the early morning on Thursday with my friends and then on Friday morning I went with my grandparents to the beach( islantilla) until Sunday.
Last year I went to see the early morning and when I finish I went with my boyfriend to his village until Sunday.
And this year I go Tuesday at the beach with my boyfriend until Sunday because it rains and not see ``pasos´´ and for that I go to the beach(Islantilla).

  2. I like a lot the Holy Week and i want the holidays arriving soon. If time permits I usually go in the afternoon to Seville center with my friends or my family to see the steps I can, because all it is impossible to see and would be very tired, then we go to a snack bar for a drink and dinner because walking from one place to another makes hungry, also we usually visit a church in case it rains and not step out into the street, to see inside the chapel and finally I go home to sleep and rest in bed. Easter Monday I go to my grandmother’s house to help her prepare some sweets and snacks for the whole family. Starting Friday I go to the beach with my sister because I need to be sunbathing brunette because the fair is near and you have to wear the suit and also because I have all year without seeing my friends there and I enjoy spending time and tell them how I was your year. Also I have to study because when we get back from vacation and there are some tests that prepare them well for a good course and have fun in the summer.

  3. On this holiday, I spend the time with my family and friends and this year in particular, I will also have to devote enough time to study because this course is a non-stop and now we're in the end line, we can't lower the level of performance. I really love Easter. I think it's nice to see the steps of Holy Week, with their bands and their Nazarenes ... to me that scene gets me very sensitive. Moreover, on Thursday, I dress to Nazarene in Estepa, the village of my paternal grandparents. It's a tradition there is in my family for many years. In fact, until recently, I've been putting the robe of my father when he was young and he was dressed with it. This year, it is raining a lot and it makes me feel as not having enjoyed enough of this important week for most of the sevillanos. Still, I'm very happy because this year I did my penance station, which for two years i didn't make it due to rain.

  4. Holy Week is a week in which we live the passion death and resurrection of Christ.
Sevilla especially have one of the most beautiful holy weeks of the world. There are more than 50 pasos. All beautiful.
    My during Holy Week:
Holy Week begins on ``Good Friday´´ or ``Friday de Dolores´´ this day I go out with my friends; On Saturday I usually go to visit my family in Cadiz.
On Sunday also called ``Palm Sunday´´ I go with my family together to have lunch together and then we accompany my brother to come out in one ``paso´´ ``la Borriquita´´the prettiest ``paso´ in the Palm Sunday.
Monday through Thursday I will see my family first steps in the chairs we have in the bell and then I will see the steps with my friends.
Holy Thursday is a very special day and long because the ``pasos´´go out in the overnight.
On Friday I usually go to the beach and I stay there the rest of the week.

  5. This week holidays I think we have come to all fine, it's time to enjoy family, friends, going out to the street ... can not say beyond that time but we have been very good and rested a bit disconnected from everything. I've done this holiday many things like the whole family together to eat one day younger and then we are off on holiday, I went out every evening after dinner harnessing the sun that had little, this year I have not seen many "pasos"especially because most have not been out with the weather. I had not taken that step school to everyday street from very early until aguantaramos with my friends and of course I enjoyed my family especially my brother for three months did not see it because is studying in Madrid and has come to pass this week with us, the truth is that I can not fault this holiday week but is very noticeable that they say that: "the good thing is short" and especially when you are going day and flown see it approaches the routine again, but surely we have all enjoyed it and we made good time doing the things we like and with whom we want.

  6. Although I was tired by days of work, enthusiastically awaited the arrival of one of the most emotional celebrations of the year, we live it hard on family and on the street. We program the first part of the week to live and participate in the acts of the brotherhood, San Gonzalo.
The following days we try to visit the temples where the steps that once arrived the evening will come out to do penance. I like to observe the details of the steps; the size of the Christ and the Virgin. And also I do many photos to have them remember. If weather is bad, and the steps are not allowed to leave, we normally visited churches to see them. Sometimes if the weather is good the last days of the week, I'm going to the beach with my family.

  7. Easter in Seville
This week we can have a good time with our family and friends; we can even take advantage in order to study more and better too.
In this time I usually stay in Seville and I enjoy participating on the Easter vacation. I love watching Christian parades in which a lot of penitents accompany “pasos” (Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary’s sculptures showing some of Biblical Events, placed in thrones and moved to the rhythm of the music plaid by musical associations)
I often get up early to study and make good use of my time. Then I sometimes play paddle one or two hours to clear my head and at two or three o’clock I have lunch. Later I rest for a while and study to keep updated about my studies. In the afternoon I get dressed up and make up to meet with my friends or family and go to the centre of the city to watch processions of the day. My friends and I often eat lunch out in bars and sometimes have “torrijas” for dessert (typical sweets made of sliced bread, wine, olive oil, eggs and honey or cinnamon and sugar)
For dinner we usually use to have a drink and fast food or sandwiches. We stay out about midnight or so. At that time we come back home with painful feet and absolutely wrecked.
On Friday we wake up very early in the morning in order to be able to enjoy the “madrugá”. It’s the most special night of Easter when a lot of processions scour over the whole city centre, and a multitude of visitors crowd around them.
On Saturday my family and I usually go to Costa Ballena (Cadiz) but this year it is going to be impossible because my grandmother is sick.
From this letter I encourage you to come to Seville and enjoying with this unique and spectacular event.

  9. Well I normally do not do much at Holy week , but this time it was so special that they have been exchange students in Philadelphia's of the Friends Central School and for this reason has been for me a special Holy week, we have been seeing the “pasos” are something that I have never go to see because I do not like anything but as they were here I made the effort and gone, too have been with people who do not typically stay in our school for good, not the case, and I liked it enough to be with them, would also drive a Ferrari which I could not go because of the rain, a shame, and ultimately my Easter usually very boring default but this has been very different I had fun and I've learned so much English thing that I needed and the selectivity is approaching and you have to push in the studies. I also made good friends and I am glad to be so, has finally been a great holiday we've all been able to enjoy and have a break from classes, routines and stuff, anyway that's all I have to say I hope that you had a good holydays.

I every year I keep seeing in Seville the semana santa because I like processions. every Thursday saints I used to go to the beach because to my parents love the beach, but this year my parents we got a surprise for my brothers and my.they we were told that we were going to new York. I spent a week there and appeared incredible to me. I have seen many neighborhoods and one of the things I liked most is able to speak with others in English but not easy. I have seen many skyscrapers and time square and lit at night and the Empire State. I also would have liked to see a procession but this time not spend all the years. Another thing that I tend to like about this holiday is the time I spend with my friends and enjoying the beautiful day. Is another week I spend time with my family and resting. is one of the festivals that I like!

    1. I always enjoy my Easter holidays. I very much like going to see the processions with my friends. Unfortunately, this year it has rained and not all processions have come out. I like watching them in the Cathedral area because the view is very good. I most like seeing them at night with the candles iluminated. Afterwards, we usually go and have some tapas in the centre. On Friday of this week I usually go to the beach. This year we did the same. Friday morning I went with my parents and brothers to Ayamonte. There we have a house with a swimming pool. I like going there because the beach is very near and I can go swimming and windsurfing. My brothers practice this sport too so it is fun going together. We also have barbecues in the garden and I specially like cooking sardines. Another thing I like to do is going to fish with my father and sometimes one of my brothers also comes. We go on a small boat to a small island which appears in front of Isla Canela when the sea level goes down. We carry live bate and when lucky catch "doradas", "caballas" and "lubinas". I also saved time to study for the next exams. I really enjoyed these holidays because I was able to do all the things I like. I hope next year will be as much fun as this one!

Everybody is looking formard to any type of holidays because it means having more free time and more relax.

This holiday is going to be short but I really need it to have a small break, although I have to go to some lessons in the morning, it doesn´t matter because I´m going to enjoy the afternoons. Like every year, I usually meet my friends and we go to the town to watch some ``pasos´´ I love it!
Sevilla is lovely at this time although the weather isn´t going to be very fine. I also like helping my mother to make the traditional cakes at home and I also need to spend more time with my family.

In conclusion, holidays are always welcome and I hope to have a good time during this week without forgetting my school work.

  12. First of all, in these holidays i have relaxed myself, made a break from school and I have used the holidays to meet friends and enjoy.
Obviously, it is an obligation to see at least one “paso”. I have seen “pasos” almost every day, I don’t like it very much but some of my friends love seeing them. Our plan was going to see them, then, we had dinner, we continued seeing “pasos” and finally we went to a bar to get fun. Some days when it was raining we preferred going to a friend’s house and stay there all night.
The unique disadvantage I see to these holidays was the rain and the difficulty to find parking. It was horrible, most times we preferred to walk a lot instead to get crazy looking for a nearer parking.
I think that going out, to the beach for example, is a good plan if you don’t like Holy Week. You can spend there a week; relax in the beach, with friends and having fun. I have done it many years.
To sum up, my Holly Week has been calm but enjoyable. I have done so many things and I didn’t get bored, but now it is time to study and finish the course very well, although the fair is in two weeks and I won´t lose it.

  13. I personally do not really like holy week but I love Sevilla when it gets that great week, and everything looks much more beautiful than ever. Although usually see almost all the "pasos", I better step up going with my friends for a drink at a bar downtown, because Easter always people everywhere and you have a good anywhere.
It is also true that I'm trying to do on this holiday week is sleep, sleep all that time I can not sleep in college, because there's nothing better than getting up at midnight and not knowing if breakfast or lunch, that's the best there is.
Another thing I usually do at holy week is to visit the temples from which come the "pasos" and that what I do with my family, as it is one of the few things we do together throughout the year I like much to do with them and it is also nice to see the images although inside the chapels because as has been so much rain this year, could not make the season of penance.
In short, what I try to do during spring break is fun and have fun with family and friends, and especially to see some "paso" and boast of Sevilla during the holidays, which are among the best we have.

These Easter holidays have been a bit weird because I've had a lot of studying and has not left almost no procession because of the rain. Despite this, I went to Guadalcanal on Easter Tuesday as I do every year. On Easter Sunday we went back for Sevilla. To me this time I really like, are very special as it celebrates the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus, a man who died for us.
In my village, in Guadalcanal, came only two fraternities: mine, Holy Thursday, the True Cross, and Holy Saturday. Obviously, I could only see the latter ... so hopefully next year does not go as well as this. Nazarenes were many who did penance station on Holy Thursday is a brotherhood beautiful, unique and committed to the needy. I hope to enjoy many more years out of Nazarene and doing penance station is expected for a full year.

  15. Iam very traditional and since i am in the San Gonzalo Brotherhood (Triana), i follow Holy week religiously. Nowadays because of the weather I hardly get to see the processions that I enjoy the most but i am very faithful  to my brotherhood and I´m always there during the day of the procession. Surprisingly all the processions came out on Monday. It was very emotional to see all the pasos that day. Holy week in Seville is not just the processions, is its people how they dress, the different smells like azahar, incents, burning of large candles, sweet aroma of torrijas. Holy week is about tradition and commitment  and art history. It is art very gracefully paraded thru the streets and accompanied by music and well dress escorts. Each pasos is different not just because of the different colours the nazarenos wear, nor the music, each pasos is different because it feels different. YOU HAVE to see to feel the difference. This is also a period when traditional and culture come together. Some of this pasos are traditional for many families and they date back to XVI century come to seville and discover and live a Holy Week.

    Holy week holidays

This holy week, I haven´t done anything special. In fact, it hasn´t been a good week for me because I have been sick, coughing all the time in spite of the amount of medicines that I have had day after day. As well, the weather has not been well as you all know, so I haven´t gone out much and I have used this days to study as much as I could when my cough let me do it. However, this year, I was very interested in going out in “la madrugada” so, as I felt better, me and my friends went to watch “la Macarena” when it was leaving its church. I couldn´t see much because there was a lot of people there, so we were standing very far from the Virgin and I only can say that I was there, but not that I enjoyed the moment. Another recent years, we have gone out much more during the first days and then we have gone to our beach house, and even we have watched “pasos” in Huelva, very similar to ours, but, this year, due to my sickness and, specially, to the bad weather, this holidays has been wasted, but not at all, because they has been used for studying.

  17. well this is the first holy week that i stayed on sevilla because I usually pass that week in Madrid or in Cadiz.
This holy week on sevilla was very surprised because there were a lot of people on the city centre that there watching the processions. I also find it very surprising the antiquity of the pasos.
But I always use this holiday to be at home and sleeping late to get ready for the new trimestre that is the most important.
But also I use this holiday to go to madrid to see my fathe and my grandfathers and have a good time with friends because i live here in sevilla and I couldnt see them very much.
But I also love going to cadiz to the beach because on this holiday the weather usually be warm

  18. The truth is that for me the holy week not really like, so I see little steps, all this is added that in these holidays usually rains.
The only step that I see every year is La Esperanza de Triana and La O if she exit.
What I do on these date is varied, for example, one year I went with my family to Paris (it was the best Holly Week in my life, I saw the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Arc of the Triomphe, and went to disneyland )other year I saw almost every step, in another year only went to the “madrugá” and most often what I do is out or my friends or my boyfriend.
This year for example I have seen only the Esperanza de Triana because Tuesday and Friday rains and they didnt exit , one of the days I went to dinner with my boyfriend to an Indian restaurant, everything was so good! That was the best day of these Holy Week, the other day I went with my sister and her boyfriend for lunch at Foster Hollywood.
In these holidays I prefer to do it any weekend or go on a trip, because to me many people in one place overwhelmed me, and walk throughout Seville to see a step, or having to turn around to go home because step prevents you arrive .. Then, when I see the Virgin or Christ impact me, but not is what I prefer to do on this holiday.

  19. Holly week is one of the most important celebrations in Seville. During this week, brotherhoods carry two floats: a float with a Christ representing the different stages of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The other float has a canopy with the Virgin Mary under it. But, although almost everyone likes this week, living their traditions and their faith seeing the “Pasos” I don´t like it. Holly week is holidays, and my family and I take advantages of going out Seville travelling around Spain or going to London, because we like this city so much. It´s true that I like for example, seeing “pasos” the “Domingo de Ramos” and the “Lunes Santo”. I like this Sunday, because one of the most beautiful brotherhoods of the city, which is from my neighbourhood is the first that process in penitence to the Cathedral, “La Hermandad de la Paz”. Monday evening, my brotherhood is on the street, “Hermandad de las Aguas”. I like so much my Virgin, she always goes very beautiful and she has a serious but incredible mantle. Every Monday of this week, I wear like a Nazarene, I have a candle in one of my hands and I walk throught the streets with brotherhood.

  20. In these festivals so important, especially for Seville, the Seville spends most of the time this week roaming the streets of Seville and we seek the steps.
Palm Sunday is the day awaited by all, the women wear dresses, skirts, blouses and heels and men are wearing suits. There are families who eat at downtown bars, others eat with our friends or we go out for the evening and all morning we rest to regain strength for all day.
During the afternoon and evening people seek the steps to see the Virgin and the Christ. When dinner time people rest and they often go to “El Salvador” or “alfalfa” for beers and eat something. At night many return to their homes, but lovers of Holy Week are entering in their chapels steps. This not only happens on Palm Sunday, also the other days of Holy Week. When it rains people protects in bars waiting out the brotherhoods.
Those who do not like Easter usually go to the beach to soak up the sun and take a little vacation in tranquility, and that in a week routine begins and everyone starts preparing for another of the most anticipated holidays of the year: the fair.

  21. Easter is a very long-awaited date for all those who believe in the church and in God, these dates are very important for my level of studies and relax, as I used to switch off and recover all the lost time overdue studies. Normally families usually come to see the Holy Week in Seville and spend with them this time. In my village there are steps Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I do not go doing penintencia, although I would love to do it in Seville in one of the multiple brotherhoods in the morning. The truth is that I take the most of Holy Week and I love

  22. In Holy week holidays I use to go to the beach, visit my grandfather in Cordoba and spend almost all my time with my friends, but that year has been a bit different.
An american came to my house as you know, so I had to change my plans, I had to make them more ``cultural´´ and look after someone that was under my responsability, but It haven`t been very bad, we went to see pasos few days, we went to Cordoba, to museums, etc we also did things that I love like hanging out with friends, going to BBQs or going to ride on bicycle.
So i can say that that year the holy week holidays haven´t been regular but I´ve enjoyed them so much, possibly more than other years´.

  23. This year I think that is my first year that I stay in Seville during all the semana santa to go to the street and saw all the processions, that date where people carry statues of saints on floats or wooden platforms around the city followed by all the habitants of the town. The statues usually show individual scenes of the events that happened between Jesus’ arrest and his burial or can be images of the Virgin Mary displaying grief for the torture and killing of her son but I think that I had learned this only this year because other years I had being in Madrid with my grandfather because is in the only place that I could study. This year I had learned a lot of the semana santa of Seville because I had being with a boy that was really “capillita”so I nearly saw all the processions like:san gonzalo,la quinta angustia, las aguas…And the best ones that I saw was the madrugada watching processions from 12 oclock until 7 in the morning in a chair without nearly talking with your friend because you have to be in silence. But the best thing of the semana santa is that you can be with all your friends having some beers and having fun.

  24. During these holidays, I usually stay in Seville and go with my friends and family to see some processions, not like many other people that use this week to go to the beach or somewhere else.
My holy week consists in going to the centre of Seville to see some processions and have some drinks afterwards. In the processions they show images of scenes of The Passion of Jesus Christ. People pray for their friends, family and themselves when the images pass in front of them.
But what I like most about this week is that after a day of going to see many and many processions, we go to have some drinks and dancing, to some clubs in the centre of Seville, like Torero o Lobo.
Many people take advantage of this week to study so they don’t have to study in Feria, like me. But, unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of time since I do a lot of sport as well. I always enjoy sport, specially swimming, but during school months I don’t have much time to do it, so I use every holiday that I have to do some sport.

For my holy week holiday this year I went to Valencia to visit my grandma and family.
I used to travel by train, but this time I went by car. My mother and father were driving, I want to be 18 years old to drive too. So we arrived to Valencia on Monday. It was a lovely day there, because I meet my family. We have visited the new uncle’s pub, the name of the pub is “de pe a pa”, it is located near his house so it is very easy to go there, they are really happy and I think they will have a great success.
Even if I was really happy to be with my uncle Pepe and my aunt Patricia the best part of my holy week in Valencia was to enjoy my grandma, most of the time I spend my time with her , we walk in the beach and we have lunch there a huge paella, it was really delicious.
The day before the last day, we went to visit my uncles’ new country house, it is an amazing fabulous place, they have one swimming-pool, a tennis court, a cottage and a lot of trees and nature around, I am wishing to came back soon, it is not really big, but come close to my idea of a relax place, and the place is near the beach, with part of my family I spend a good time there. Time was running there and my parents and I were coming to our daily routine. I love holidays in family, I cannot wait to enjoy again!!!!!

  28. First, apart from the fact that I like Holy week, is time to dedicate some time to myself, family and friends, that you can't be long with them with this testing season.
Second, you'll see “los pasos” through the streets of Seville, above all hope this year to leave the 'esperanza de triana' that I like seeing her leave her church.
As it is a week of vacation, I will also take time to relax and rest at home, and take advantage of the opportunity to be a day with the studies.
If the weather is good i'll go to the beach to spend the day to get some color to the fair, which is within two weeks. Hopefully they will not be interrupted these feasts between if and outside all followed, such as Christmas or summer, four weeks in total, one of holy week, two weeks of rest and another fair.
Finally I mention that I like very much the holidays but there comes a time that I get bored doing nothing productive, so I always start a book and finish reading me a few more. I love to read, that is what I will do this week.

I'm staying here in Seville for steps.
I usually go to my aunt's house to see San Gonzalo, in the middle, with my friends, with my parents, also chairs usually go down but not go much because I get bored.
With my friends usually go to the center to mushrooms, through the narrow streets and I'm usually all day.
The best day or the one I like is the Early Thursday, which leaves the Macarena, the Triana, the Gitanos are steps in which lots of people will see as they have devotion for them.
I come out of Nazareth eg the Macarena, one of the most beautiful sevilla steps and one of which is more time on the street.
If voi with my parents to see the steps to the chairs usually go from morning to aprobechar day.
Over the weekend I usually go to the beach with my parents or a friend to Rota, where summer from small, depending on good weather or not even if it's very good time depending on whether I go or not in the macarena voi me before.
Other than the days that I like is also on Wednesday, when leaves San Gonzalo and the Estrella.

I leave Palm Sunday brotherhood Nazarene in "love" my friends also likes the week holy and we're always together and at night we usually go to bars to take a sandwich and coca coke. is a very nice week in which all people are concentrated in the center and on the steps watching you pass it very well and if you like the steps also much better. best of the week is the early bird that steps out at one in the morning and the last step is collected at two in the afternoon of Friday and most beautiful are the steps for my.

  33. Holly Weeks Holidays.
In Holly Weeks holidays I usually watch all “pasos” I can from “Domingo de Ramos” to saint Wednesday but the problem is that last years usually rains in that week and “pasos” don’t leave, it is so sad because there are people like me who are waiting all the year because we love Easter. The only day I don’t watch “pasos” is Saint Thursday because I'm in "La Exaltation" and then I watch "La Madrugada", but it is very tired. Then I go on Friday afternoon at the beach where I see my friends from Cadiz and rest from school, I think that the best place to rest is the beach because you can do what you want: play football, go out with your friends and listen the sea. I came back on Sunday and if I have not done the homework from the school I do them on Sunday afternoon. I know that the time that I go to the beach there are “pasos” that leave but I think that the best “pasos” are from “Domingo de Ramos” to Saint Thursday.

  35. Well it depends on the kind of holiday in this one i use to stay in seville and in the weekend go to the beach or somewhere I can swim because it's fun. Last holy week we went to the north and we had been sleeping in mountain house and where we could ride a horse , going to the swimming pool and sleep every night next to the fire. I definitely like to enjoy a long weekend in the mountain

This holy week i went to Madrid and I visited my family and friends. For my next holy week i want to go to Barcelona ...never been there but everyone says it's so nice and my brother really wanted to go. I definitely like traveling if I can afford it.

In the week I was in Seville and in the weekend i went to madrid , i don´t like too much de pasos so I just been in home relaxing , reading and watching television , that is what i like.

  36. Seville, at this time is a city in which we are all looking forward to get that smell of incense and orange blossom.
Seville Holy Week officially begins on "Palm Sunday" although two days before leaving the steps but do not go through the official race and the last step that goes out is "Resurrecion Sunday."
This year has been very hard for him who has been continuously raining.
Some "brotherhoods" decided not to go as there are some steps very old and not risk, so do not spoil the picture.
Too bad for those who take a year out waiting for her sorority for a very late hour is take all backwards.
This week we can use to study and go out and enjoy with friends or family this Easter week.
Every year I usually stay in Seville and one of the most popular traditions that exist in Seville.
I, on the morning ground advantage and stay at home studying, then when my friends or family eat second time if often accompanies eating out, ie the bars and enjoy the streets of Seville , Here I have a tendency to see out some "steps" of their churches always accompanying them with the sound of the bands that are spectacular.
I think it's a moment where we can learn and discover new gear.

  37. Holy week holidays!!!!!

Holy Week holidays is one of the best weeks of the year. During this week, there is not only vacation, but on the streets of the city leave the "pasos" which shows the life of JesusChrist. I like the HolyWeek holidays, but I'm not fanatical.
Some years, I was all the week on holidays with my family at the beach. How there isn’t class school that week, I can relax, sunbathe and spend much time with my family and my friends. Also i can read some books and play sports.
Other years, I didn’t go to holidays anywhere. I have stayed in Seville, and with my friends, I went to the center of Seville to see the "pasos" wander in the streets. I like it because there are many people on the Street, a lot of foreign people, and it is so excited to listen the music accompanied by the movement of JesusChrist and the Virgin Maria.
To sum up, for me the best idea would be stay a few days in Seville, and other days at the beach with family. Like that, when school starts, I would have batteries charged. I think everybody like that week, beause you can relax.

  38. In my opinion, Holy Week is the best week of the year. During this week, we don´t have to go to school and we can rest of the first half of the school year. Moreover, it takes place one of the most awesome and beautiful events of Seville, that is the procession of "pasos" that represents the Passion of Jesus, such as his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Last Supper...
During this week I used to meet my friends and go out to see some "pasos". Also, I take this week to spend time with my family and enjoy the good atmosphere of Seville. Moreover, I usually wake up and go out with my uncle to visit temples.
This week is also special in Seville for the food. There are lots of typical meals that are popular during this week. One of them is called "torrijas".
To conclude, I think all catholics live this week like a magical week where you can be a better person.

But this year has been different because my boyfriend, Andres, has come from Asturias to see me. It had never seen the holy week of Seville, he likes to me very much on Thursday and the dawn. It was here one week. We this year did not see many "pasos" since it rained very much but the little that we saw we like me.

When I was small my father was leading me every day to seeing all the "pasos" that were going out and of so much walking was coming to very tired house and the following day equally and because of it I believe that to my already I do not like so much the holy week.

I ‘m not really keen on watching the processions myself but I have to admit I’ve never experienced it up close. I'm usually always in Seville until Wednesday and then, the rest of Easter week , I go to the country with my family. the truth is I'd rather be out in the country because I enjoy it a lot morethan being in Seville. I go riding , hunting, practising motocross ... everything imaginable.

This year has been a little weird because I have not been out with my friends as much because I had to study, then after the weekend I went to the country to concentrate and enjoy the weather.

  49. Holy Week is a very important holiday for my family, people at Easter usually go out with friends to party, very few people see this holiday as it really is, this is a religious holiday. At Easter we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God.
In my family religion is important, and as every year this Easter will be spent in family, go to church (Easter Masses are also a bit long and boring).
But not all the time we will be well, time to get out there with our friends, celebrate the saint of my grandmother, my godmother and my aunt, and of course, time to study, especially this year will have to study hard. I personally do not really like to go see "pasos", but there is a day that can not miss, that day is the night of Thursday to Friday, which is known as "la madrugá".

The most important days of this week are formed by the so-called Easter Triduum.

Despite this, I went to Guadalcanal on Easter Tuesday as I do every year. On Easter Sunday we went back for Sevilla. To me this time I really like, are very special as it celebrates the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus, a man who died for us
Iam very traditional and since i am in the San Gonzalo Brotherhood (Triana), i follow Holy week religiously.

My brotherhood eg not come out to the street due to rain and many more will pass the same.
But then you have to look at his side of things, and even if they could leave many, was worth going to see these incredible churches Holy Week steps.
Next year we hope to do better another time and enjoy Holy Week more.

  66. The Holy week is the time at which the catholic meeting for celebrated the death and the resurrection of Jesús, though it is a holiday week in all schools. I like this festivity because all people wear elegant and go out to lunch in bars, the streets are very bussy and I meet with my family.
I go out with my friends by Sevilla and we see the steps or going for take something and also I usually go to my village where Easter is very nice too there I stay to eat with my cousins and my uncles and I have a great time, I especially enjoy early Thursday because it is the day that I leave Nazarene in the Hermandad of the gitanos of Utrera, I carry being sister for five years and I left Nazareth in four because one of them rained. This year I was very sad because I went out of my virgin step of Esperanza. For all these feelings that I feel for this week, along with the April Fair are my favorite vacations.

  67. this holiday season I dedicate myself to see "steps" and walk around the center and in the morning I dedicate to study some subjects not to leave behind. People who really like this week stay and not lose any day but who do not like usually go to the beach. In the days of Easter usually eat or dine out with my friends and there are times we left home very early or very late we collect less on Thursday night we gather early in the morning because most guilds start dating until three p.m. that is gathered at this hour and I went home slept a little and eat something to come back out to see the brotherhoods of the next day. For me this week is a tradition since I was very small because my father so taught me

  68. During these holidays, I usually stay in Seville and go with my friends and family to see some processions, not like many other people that use this week to go to the beach or somewhere else.
I also make penance station on thursday, so in fact is one of my favourites weeks on the year.

  69. Semana Santa is for many people from Sevilla, the most important week of the year. I belong to a sisterhood whose name is “La Paz”. It shows off in Sevilla on Palms Sunday. I am a person who loves the processions. When this week arrives, my main objective when I go out is to view the brotherhoods. But not only I like see it, I love having free time for doing many things, like going to have dinner with my friends or go to the cinema with my boyfriend.
Some of my friends go to the beach when it arrives, but I do not understand yet why, because is the most important week of the year for us. I prefer the Semana Santa than the Feria, because Semana Santa is an affect and a really big tizzy. Feria, in my opinion is a moment in which we our main is to have fun and enjoy dancing and singing.
Finally, I think that we must look after this celebration because is really important for us but we should give the importance that it has.

  70. During the week off school we get in holy week, my family and I have always been on a trip.
My parents like Seville's Holy Week but they avoid going with children to the crowed city centre where the brotherhoods go through and many people are there to see them.
There is another reason for the previous, my father parents live in Galicia, so we usually go there in that time of the year. In Galicia, we can go out to the street without suffering from the crowd. We can also enjoy the sea which is quite beautiful but without swimming because the water is very cold. I also like Galician food. Not shellfish but meat is also good. In Galicia I have tried the best omelete and also my uncle Joaquín prepares tasty food.
This year, we have rested in Seville. On Thursday, my father and I went to see some brotherhoods. I never thought I could enjoy so much, they were impressive. I think I would do the same next year, to Galicia I will go in summer and I will see my grandmother and enjoy with my cousins in the beach.

Everyday I wake up early usually my family with take what is normal at this time "torrijas" then I'm going with my friends downtown to grab something to eat and if there is any way then let's see what. Then we will see steps to center a box that has a friend of mine that gives just the campaigns and from there looks great steps. Later we approach a snack bar that they take a very good ice cream milkshake. At night we went out to the bars downtown and have fun with other people we know from other years of being in the same bars. This is what I normally do unless the last day and the day that comes my guild, that day is special for my Dad and I got up early to get out on the dime my father and I helped to dress and do the tour after one side by side and making a superhuman effort to also know the small part of how Jesus suffered for us to know that benn saved. Lolos last days I go to the beach to relax a bit and have a good time with my family at the beach.

They are special because I identify with what happens that week. On Friday I go in brotherhood pains of the Mission. I am part of the body of the archconfraternity nazarenes our most holy christ of the Mission. I go out with a rod of sacramental representation in the script. They are six hours of travel. On palm Sunday I will see the brotherhoods to the street and see all that I can. I do the same Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. At dawn I leave early Thursday to Friday in our father brotherhood Jesus nazarene of silence. 4 hours of travel are very nice. On Good Friday I go in Jesus brotherhood our father of three falls, brotherhood of St. Isidore. They are four hours in length. The last two named brotherhoods black dress and can not speak during the tour. On Saturday I leave Saint Isidore representation with the brotherhood the holy burial. There are many representations in this brotherhood, there are representations of all brotherhoods of Easter and which can go. And finally the resurrection Sunday, I go to see the risen Jesus brotherhood the streets of Seville and early.

  73. aparate because I need this holiday so I really need because I'm super-chapel and die with these festivals of joy and sadness that gives me, I've been to three years without porder ete perform penance station and becomes hard, too because you remember those loved ones who are not on your side you enjoy knowing that they enjoy more or like you. We also carry a very holy week passed by water and can not enjoy either the greatness of this week which goes outside Seville heritage there is in any site and the amount of people who move the semana santa de sevilla not moving in anywhere.
that even they do not leave the steps there are people who believe that you can no longer see the steps and the chapels are open to parishioners to enable them to go and pray to the images and headlines.
dream day in the Call to get out of costalero and to keep pace with mystery in my guild through the streets of Seville and enjoy a gang together.
    ultimately love Easter.

  74. Holy Week is something that I love so every year I always go with some friends to see the guilds that run every day, is something I do since I was little so I like to see them in special places. On Palm Sunday I go out in the brotherhood of La Paz, I became her sister because since childhood would come over the park of Maria Luisa when she went back to the future and I really like so I decided I wanted to be a sister of peace and accompany every year on your tour through the streets of Seville.
Normally I'm always on Holy Thursday in Campillos my people to see the Holy Week there and brotherhood to which I belong there but this year I have been to see the morning for the first time and although I was very tired from walking and waiting deserved it because it was a nice experience.

  75. Holy Week is a very significant festival for all, as it represents the life, death and resurrection of jesus. It's a week in which people of faith and Easter lover goes out to pay homage to jesus of nazareth, seeing the streets Easter steps taken by bearers, and accompanied by the Nazarenes and a band is playing and keeping time step. This week is full of feelings and people who really like Holy Week in the streets enjoys watching the brotherhoods. That said, this seman ami personally like to stay in Seville and enjoy the atmosphere and the ofradias with my family and my friends.

  76. Easter is the Christian week of the Passion and Resurrection of Christ. It is celebrated in all Catholic Christian places of the world, in these places in this week's holiday. But Sevilla revives the Christian spirit by the processions of Holy Week we see the last week of the life of Christ in their images. Holy Week begins after Lent, on Good Friday and ends on Sunday Resurrection. This week a lot of tourists flock to Seville to watch closely Easter week in Seville is renowned, especially for its antiquity, tradition, spirit, and beauty. Normally I'm all Holy Week in Seville, every day I go to the center to see processions with my friends or family. Some years on Holy Thursday we travel or the beach, but it is not usual.

  77. The truth is that I like Holy Week, especially the Seville, for I can not comment on other cities that do not know any. Some you've seen on TV and some are quite similar to ours, although other wheeled out instead of bearers and I do not like.
Since childhood, since I was five years ago, I went out with my brother Joseph in Nazareth in the Brotherhood of the Holy Name, the Church of San Lorenzo and I always liked it, although I admit it is very tired.
Some years we have had the misfortune of not being able to go out with our brotherhood that has rained, for example this year, is very sad, most of the brothers cry and all prayed inside the church. This is the Tuesday of Holy Week.
The rest of the days I go with my friends to see the footsteps of other fraternities.
This year is the first that I could go see the madrugá and I loved it, but the truth is that it is very tiring, but worth it. Next year, if it does not rain I see her again.
Holy Week in Seville is something worth knowing.

  79. The Semana Santa, one of the weeks that looks more illusion Seville, a week in which we note that it is spring in Seville, the clear blue sky, all the streets to see the guilds that take a whole year preparing something that lasts few hours or even not come out because of the weather. It's my favorite week and live with great devotion, is one thing that I recommend to anyone who lives outside of Seville, that if ever comes sevilla to be in this great week where beauty meets feeling and makes a perfect harmony. It is noted that Easter comes to Seville because the atmosphere in the middle increases, the bars are full and more cordoba Street, next to Salvador is a particular perfume, incense. Every house of any Seville smell the incense and days before that is characteristic of here.

  80. I love the Easter but I often go with my friends to the center see the odd step if time permits and when they are all tired and it's time to go to a bar for dinner and then take time playing some drink and then each one is going home anytime. that usually do almost every day there are always buts someday we go to the house of one of the grandparents c food until we get up and we go out and before leaving I always say be careful nod drink too much
Easter Friday I go to the field with my sister and my parents and my aunt usually cum with my cousins. touches the morning riding horses for mounts fair and clean his boots ... and afternoon riding horses again and clean them so they are ready for the fair.
also make time to study very hard but I since in the field never stop doing things but I usually get the time but have to study in summer and not very fun to spend a summer with books

  81. Holy Week for me is a normal week, I respect that people likes Holy Week but I do not share it, because I think that most people are hypocrites and the rest of the year they never go to church. I also think that all that money could be for the poor. I'm sure they need it more than us.
For this reason, at holy week, I usually go to the beach. I take time to study, relax,
read a book and sunbathing. I also take this week to spend more time with my family, because normally I have many things to do.
But if there is bad weather that week, I stay in Seville with my friends, when they stop to watch the processions, they call me by phone and I go downtown to drink a beer with them. Though also I study, read, and spend time with my family.
In conclusion, for my Holy Week is a normal holiday week

  82. Holy Week is most important week for any Christian, plus I have the luck to be born in Seville that we live in a very special way.
so I stay in Seville. I'm of two sororities and go on a Palm Sunday, in "La Amargura"

This week begins the "Friday of Dolores" and leave brotherhoods through different areas in the neighborhood of our school comes "The Mission" and people come from all over Sevilla this day I usually spend with my friends. On Palm Sunday as I said before I go into a brotherhood, this day is the one that most people go to the center of Seville. The most important day for anyone who loves the Holy Week is "madrugá" the most devoted sculptures are "Macarena" and "Gran Poder"
Holy Week is the passion of christ but the most important day of resurrection is Sunday in Seville is celebrated throughout the week.
Many people choose to spend this week on the beach or the countryside and not living holy week in a special way because they have no longer drawn the attention or because they have not experienced since childhood. I know I have the good fortune to understand this celebration, and to learn more year after year.

  83. I love the Holy week. The main reason why I really like this week is because everyone have a week off where we do not have to go to school, which it is great because around that time we usually have a lot of exams of every subject. I really like the way of what I have been doing during this holidays the past few years. Normally, when I was young, I used to go to the beach the entire week because my parents did not like at all this holidays because they are not from this city. The past few years I go to the beach the first few days and I come back to see my friends on Friday afternoon. they go out in a community called "El Cachorro". I love this "paso" because I have been watching the same on almost every year since I have known my best friend, she is a member of this church as her entire family. That is the main reason why I love the way I have been organizing my last few Holy weeks. I enjoy the beach and the "pasos" and both of them I spend the entire time relaxed and with my family and friends.

Normally most of the vacations happened in Seville, the first days soil was resting until the Palm Sunday comes. In these days we us go out to the country where we met the family: grandparents, uncles and cousins. When the Palm Sunday comes I stay with my dressed friends all in a very formal way. We eat in the street and laugh very much, though our principal intention is to see the steps of the Fraternity that go out to the street this day. On Monday I like to see San Gonzalo with my parents and my brothers in Triana's Bridge. Tuesday is the most emotive day, when goes out the Hermanadad of the Students of which they are brothers my family. If the time allows it we are going to see it.All these days I stay with my friends, especially in the night, but at the moment of having dinner it tried to go with my parents to La Moneda. On Wednesday and Thursday morning I go out less to rest and on Thursday of dawn to be able to enjoy Triana's Hope and the Great Power. Finally, on Friday we go to Ayamonte where I go out in the Brotherhood of the Holy Burial, Brotherhood to which the whole family belongs for my mother. She was born there. The rest in the beach and to rest.

I always enjoy sport, specially swimming, but during school months I don’t have much time to do it, so I use every holiday that I have to do some sport

    HOLY WEEK IN HOLIDAYS

The Passion Week I think that is a special form to explain the life of Jesus in an artistic act to feel, understand and many things more to the life of Jesus, when he was born, he started to has the first miracles, the last dinner…
There are people that the Passion Week lived as if this act is the most important in the life, but I think that is very beautiful and affecting but I don’t think that the Passion Week is the most important in my life.
For example I am brother of one sisterhood ( El Carmen Doloroso) and I go to the reflexion the Passion Wednesday , in this moment I think things that I did very bad and I apologize. I like go to the center in the morning and go to see the processions in the street but in don’t like stay seeing processions all day I like… stay with my friends, talk with them, go to have lunch and pass a good day.
In conclusion I like the Passion Week but witch some to happy because if I pass the Passion Week also seeing the procession I will die :)

At Easter usually see all the steps that go in the day, although there are three days or do not see or can just see that they are on Palm Sunday, Holy Tuesday and Madrugá, and this is because these days I go in sororities. I am a lover of this week is the big week of Sevilla, no matter who likes it. This week the feelings of Seville and devotion by the owners all neighborhoods that are turning their sororities are. The most beautiful Easter is that of Seville, at least for me, of course. I do not know if the prettiest but the most heartfelt. Best of my life.
