The state-sanctioned guideline was introduced in the capital Pyongyang about two weeks ago, Radio Free Asia reports. It is now being rolled out across the country - although some people have expressed reservations about getting the look.
"Our leader's haircut is very particular, if you will," one source tells Radio Free Asia. "It doesn't always go with everyone since everyone has different face and head shapes." Meanwhile, a North Korean now living in China says the look is actually unpopular at home because people think it resembles Chinese smugglers. "Until the mid-2000s, we called it the 'Chinese smuggler haircut'," the Korea Times reports.
It seems that haircuts have been state-approved in North Korea for some time - until now people were reportedly only allowed to choose from 18 styles for women and 10 for men. Earlier, North Korea's state TV launched a campaign against long hair, called "Let us trim our hair in accordance with the Socialist lifestyle".
However, there are conflicting reports over the haircut mandate, with the NK News website reporting that recent visitors to Pyongyang did not notice a change in hair styles.

I think that the new law of north Korea is very silly, in 2014 you can´t make a prohibition or restriction of the haircut. The students of universities have a lot types of haircut and make a law to restrict their haircut is very silly. Other silly rule is that All semi-automatic firearms shall be carried with an empty breech or firing chamber. All revolvers shall be carried with an empty chamber to the immediate left or right of the barrel, depending on whether the cylinder turns clockwise or counterclockwise, and the chamber under the hammer shall be empty as well, unless the revolver is hammerless, this is logical for students that be twenty years. To sum up, these types of rules are unusual because is not real that a student of twenty years is would have a determinate haircut only because one person thinks that that haircut is the best (only is the best to him because he has it), in North Korea happen this because there is a communist dictatorship and there you can´t have an opinion, and that is the reason of the new law of the haircut, all students will have the same haircut in North Korea.

I propose that one week a month is the " week of the poor " and that in that week all students eat free food provided by the center in this study , of course. Also would propose that one day a month the entire class of students were partying with all teachers , so a better coexistence and relationship with students and teachers also get would serve to get ready for school weeks to wait them . Instead of uniform , would be well students choose their own uniform , clothes they want but everyone and always wear the same clothes , both boys and girls , it would be a fun way to dress for school and not requiring boring uniforms in schools.

Another measure could be paint the icon of the university in their foreheads. It could permit them to distinguish them from another. They could establish a standard that would compel the students to dress according to their mood , if you are happy and content can dress in bright colors like pink , red , yellow, etc. . Another measure could be that all students had to go in the same uniform , but not a uniform plain and boring as all schools but with a different characteristic and something funny. So students amuse them put it on and be different. Another measure that could be once every two or three months teachers organize trips to different places in the country to improve such relationships or have parties at school each month to have fun and get to know better. Another measure I can think of that might be fun and entertaining would be that every so often costume parties and all students and teachers were made that day at school dressed as they like and so they vary slightly. I don’t know if there are silly measures but if I have to invent measures I can propose to divide the students by the colour of the natural hair, and of course it is not allowed to dye your hair. For example all blonde students can only study on Mondays and Fridays, students with brown hair on … etc. Another stupid measure can be that all students that are born in autumn or winter have to wear dark clothes, students that are born in spring or summer have to dress in yellow. Students that want to be a doctor can only study medicine if they have blue eyes and play piano. The students that want to study engineering do have to have brown eyes and wear always brown shoes. All students that want to study arts have to wear glasses and it doesn't matter if they need really glasses or not. They have to look intellectual. All students have to wear a red glove in the they don't use for writing. All male students must have long hair and all female students must have short hair.
These are the silly rules that would put me at my college.

The rules are too important for all the people. I’m not in favour of the Korean rule, it is silly because each people can wear like they want , can have the hair that they want because it is them personality. A silly rule is for example, that in some university girls can’t wear shorts or boys can’t wear flip flops or boys can’t wear swimsuit. It usually forbid because of the aesthetics of the university but we wear this things because in summer there are a lot of hot like in Seville. It usually forbid this things in private schools than in state schools.

ResponderEliminarThinking pretty hard, for example, I can imagine when I will arrive to the university, they have a shop in the main door and everyone that is walking inside the campus need to wear that shoes, in each university depending on their studies you have to wear a colour. For example in you want to study Law, you will wear the red one, for Business and Administration orange, for Sport Science green.
Another measure could be the first year of your studies you need to shave your eyebrow, and if you pass your exams you do not need to repeat the process, otherwise you will need to shave again. When you will finish your studies you do not need to do it again. For teachers that are studying languages or another degree the measure should be a little be lighter, only they need to shave one eyebrow, not both of them.
These ones are not good measures. In case that I need to suffer this kind of stupid measures myself, I will think hardly about to study in that place, maybe I did not study.

ResponderEliminarReally this Korea measure is absurd. As stupid as this could invent many others such as everyone wearing the same backpack. This would be chaos, because people could lose their things and it would be very difficult to find them.
Another measure would be stupid everyone hair dyed the same color, so there would be fewer differences among students. Besides the hair, could force all university students to wear the same clothes, according to the College each student take a shirt or polo color representing each faculty. The girls are forbidden to wear rings, necklaces or bracelets, and earrings should be discreet. And they can’t wear shoes that are high heels, for very low they are. On the other hand, the boys will also not anything like this, like small bracelets or chains. Another stupid measure would be that mobile phones could not be used in the building, even bring them, because if they see a student with the phone would be confiscated.
In conclusion, if we want to invent stupid measures could do a lot, but the only thing they will get with this is that students will revolt ... College students are old enough to have an adult freedom, because they need not cause problems whatsoever.
It's hard to think of a more absurd and out of place as that which was imposed in Korea for university students. Today everyone should be able to dress and comb as he sees fit and look more handsome. But if we think we may apply such silly ideas and crazy like this. Another measure would be useless to force students to wear different types of shoes on each foot, for example, moccasins on the right foot and a sneaker on his left foot, or sandals and riding boot. It really seems incredible that in the year 2014 we hear news from North Korea that university students are forced to cut their hair in the same way as their country leader. Absurd but every day we hear strange things of this kind in the news. Some strange things that we could do in our school could be wearing red t- shirts on Monday,yellow ones on Tuesday, green ones on Wednesday, purple ones on Thursday and black ones on Friday. We could dye our hair in different colors depending on the month. We could also carry the same backpacks with the same inscriptions. These are a few absurd ideas that we could carry out in our own school but that would make us feel very unconfortable and would probably psychologically affect each one of us. These things definitely have to damage the thoughts and mind and make the people very stressed. Everyone should live naturally and confortably and not be obliged to do things that make no sense and which absolutely injures them. These leaders who impose these ridiculous rules should not be allowed to rule. The citizens should protest and overrule these leaders.

With these absurd measures imposed this school my I can not think another more absurd, but if I can invent some rules are a bit average: Fridays propose that instead of school is dedicated to the sport, and there once a month the class to class bring food to share and we are all together and so we're more attuned and more friends.

in England we can find many of these absurd and funny laws. It is illegal to be drunk in possession of a cow. It is punishable by two men have sex with a third person in the same house (do not even need to be simultaneously). All men over 14 should practice archery at least 2 hours a week under the supervision of the clergy.
All these measures can be very funny and absurd, but do not hurt anyone contrary to those imposed by the Korean leader. in my opinion this man should not be in power.

I think that these ideas are sillies and ridicules because they would remove all the cityciens their freedom. This president (Kim John-un) wants everybody to look like him, something that it´s not human, everybody has freedom in their physic, they can do with their hear cut and with their body whatever they want. I think that Kim John-un doesn´t have any love of his citifies and only thinks in his own and not in what his country want. He is a person unprincipled and selfish and he doesn’t deserve to obligate anybody to do anything , that country needs a change, and that people need to know what is body freedom and to love themselves.

ResponderEliminarIt does not seem logical to adopt the law of this haircut because I think everyone should have their own style and personality and that people have to do what they like not what the law says. Personality is the most important thing a person says a lot about her. Should be more concerned to establish other major measures and truly are needed, such as helping the poor by providing food or clothing at least twice a year to volunteer or attend kennels or homes. This year in Spain have picked many kilos of food for the poor and a great achievement and a great satisfacion for everyone. A very silly measure than can be applied here in Spanish universities could be that all students have to were a little Spanish flag in their right wrist. I think it is a stupid measure because everyone is free of wearing whatever he or she want.

In my opinion the measure on the style of dress or peeling It seems absurd that in the times when we have to have every certain fundamental rights policy and because he is a socialist regime we can not censor part of the rights we have all people of the world.

I particularly think it is a very absurd mediated , since each person must be free to go as you like. Other measures absordas I would like to highlight is the prohibition of tattoos , because if the person takes you like , you should not hide because the rules are being told . I also seems inadequate as mandatory uniforms in schools, and that everyone should go dressed as you like and no more as you force a person apparently over edsta suya.Otra absourda measure in my opinion is also the compulsory education to 16 years as there are young with 14 or 15 want or need to work because their economic situation is required . I think that the law of Corea is very stupid because you cannot force anyone for have hair to one style hair. Other silly measures are that the people cannot wear shorts pants in some schools or that the teachers can take the mobile phone and that the students cannot take it. The measure that I think that is most silly is that the persons have to walk down a sidewalk or the other depending of the day.
In conclusion is that all stupid laws are unnecessary because it do that the people cannot living happy.
It's amazing how a person can make such absurd measures for their country. It's 2014 where the haircut for many of us is personal, and therefore have to take the court that they do not feel better that a governor forced to carry. True, it is very absurd and understand a little more in the case in which the governor was styling a bit more stylish, but I honestly is not ugly, it's super ugly. It's like saying all students to enter class you had to kiss the feet of the teacher, or for example to get out of school they had to take a glass of milk with spaghetti. What I mean by this is that many times too many foolish things in this world, and the fault of the citizens po to be governed by such a man as this subnormal person.

There are a lot of things to get along in a very short period of time.

Other absurd rule is the prohibition of some clothes. In many school girls can't wear shorts skirts or t-shirts with cleavage. Furthermore guys can't show their hairy legs or wear tank tops. In my opinion they are important rules because we go to study and not go to shine. However each person have to have got his personality and choose what they want to wear.
To sump up I think that there are a lot of silly measures which havent got any importance. However these measures arent important while each person is free and can choose if he want do it or not, because people should be free to choose their look.

In the first place ,I think that the new law of north Korea is very silly, in 2014 you can´t make a prohibition or restriction of the haircut. The students of universities have a lot types of haircut and make a law to restrict their haircut is very silly.

ResponderEliminarI think is unfair that people can’t do what they want without suffering penalties. It is not only silly but sad. Why do they have to follow the socialist life if they do not like socialist lifestyle? Why can´t students have hair cut how they want? . Spain moved forward in last years and it is because we have more freedom of choice. Although in Spain we have to improve as well, because we have too silly ideas today still, like, for example, why the student can’t talk or express opinion with freedom to a professor directly. The professor does not take into account the students´ perspectives, also, some university require uniform for the students who are adults and finally why students are penalized if they do not go to class when it really is not necessary since can keep notes online.
2. Nowadays we have advanced a lot, but we can find at the university that many professors do not like that their students attend their classes wearing shorts or flip flop. They impose their own rules and in many cases they misjudge their students because they wear odd clothes or have their ears pierced .It is a pity!!!

ResponderEliminarFirst of all I would like to criticize the North Korean issue. It is not normal that in the XXI century is a dictatorship, and even less as strong as it is Korean. I think it should reach a solution , especially for the North Koreans are free and they can live with their South Korean brothers who were together quite recently because they do not dispute anything.
Back then, a silly idea that could make would be to bring all students the same kind of backpack / knapsack. It is something that not surprises me that already existed. But there would not only be manufactured in a single type of backpack / knapsack all the same with the same color and size, or larger or smaller. This idea really would be absurd, because the haircut in a dictatorship is more or less predictable, in the sense that no stand, but can use only one type of backpack / rucksack is already absurd. These days I think that criminals are not usually punished enough for their crimes but I am also against the death penalty because I think it is a drastic measure to take when it is not always certain that the person is guilty. The death penalty is too final and once the decision is taken and fulfilled there is no going back. Of course there are people who commit crimes that are worthy of the death penalty and maybe the victim´s family think it the best punishment, especially when a relative has been killed or tortured or both but I still think the death penalty is not the answer. To go to prison for life is also a death sentence in itself but the problem is that the system is too lenient and let people out of prison after some years without completing their sentence and this is very bad for the victim’s family. People should pay for their crimes and be aware of the consequences of doing them but sometimes it is difficult to prove who committed the crime and for the life of even one innocent person I am against the death penalty.

I not find the reason for this measure. at my school, men can not wear shorts, and I think it would not change the image of the school if they stopped carry. It also has advantages in summer, for example, would spend less heat and we would be more comfortable. Some rules are stupid, but sometimes necessary, because people pick confidence and do what they want without thinking about others. I think you get to rub rude. To have the same haircut for all the students is very silly. It is silly as well to have only 12 different haircuts styles, people in North Corea must be very boring and very annoyed as well. It think this will be impossible in Spain because people wear the hair in many different styles.

All of them must think about a flower and write a long poem about it. They must describe how the flower is. They must say what is the most important thing of the flower. They must write about the place where the flower is. And etc….but they must write a poem, not a composition.
That man will have thousands and thousands of poems about flowers. He will not have time to read all of them. Then, he can decide what was the most beautiful poem of all the poems from everystudent and at the end, he will give a lot of money.
But everyone will write more or less the same poems because they will be afraid of him. He must be completely mad.
